Tijdens deze voorstelling nodigt Naama Shoshana haar moeder, Raz, uit op het podium. Haar moeder woont nog steeds in Israël/bezet Palestina en samen kijken ze naar hun familiegeschiedenis in het Palestina van voor 1948. Het is een zoektocht naar manieren om van identiteit een werkwoord te maken. Ze zoeken hoop, of op zijn minst compassie, in tijden van verdriet en wanhoop.

What identities and struggles do a mother and a daughter hold in the gaps between them? How, by repositioning our relation to family, roots, and land, can we resist nationalism and actions of appropriations?

During this performance, Naama Shoshana invites her mother, Raz, on stage. Her mother still lives in Israel/occupied Palestine and together they look at their family archive in Palestine before 1948. They are looking for practices to transform identity from a noun into a verb, to create an alternative way to think of national identities. It's a search for hope, or at least for compassion, in times of grief and despair.
